The next gathering of the Michiana Aquarium Society will be at 1:00 p.m., July 18, 2010 for a picnic at Roseland Park.

Visitors are always welcome -- or become a member!

General meetings are held at the Roseland Town Hall, 200 Independence Drive, Roseland, Indiana (Directions) on the third Sunday of most months. Our audience ranges from beginners to advanced aquarists.

A typical meeting starts with a half-hour social period. The meeting is called to order at 6:30 and the program is presented. Then we take a social break while the Bowl Show is judged. The break is followed by the business portion of the meeting: committee chairs give their reports and any old business as well as new business is discussed. The final activities are the mini-auction and raffle. Meetings are usually over between 9:00 and 10:00 p.m.

During the social periods members may check out books from our library free of charge. Members also bring fish and plants for scoring in the Breeder's Award Program (BAP) and Horticulturist Award Program (HAP).
